Early Years

Andrew Napier first discovered his love for video and film production at the age of nine, when he first learned how to edit video on his Dad’s computer. At eleven, Andrew officially established his production company, Napier Films LLC, and began shooting wedding videos and producing promotional and training videos for local businesses.

High School

Focused on storytelling, Andrew produced two award-winning documentaries and began to write and direct his own short narrative films. During his senior year he facilitated and taught a video production class, which still continues today now under the supervision of a high school teacher and friend of Andrew’s.

First Feature

During all of this, at the age of 17, Andrew began shooting his first feature length film, a documentary called "Mary and Bill." Filmed over three years (2006-2008) "Mary and Bill" tells the story of Mary Stroebe, a 90-year-old triathlete, and Bill Wambach, an 83-year-old high jump champion. Andrew (a triathlete himself) feels this story can inspire people of all ages, to not only become more active, but to also have a more positive attitude on getting older.

College

While managing a film business and working on "Mary and Bill," Andrew attended the University of Wisconsin - Madison. Along with film he studied acting, art, and writing. During his freshman year he wrote numerous scripts and directed a short film that screened at the Wisconsin Film Festival.

Halfway during his sophomore year Andrew left school having an opportunity to visit the set of “Inglourious Basterds” where he was able to observe and interact with director Quentin Tarantino. After spending a month in Berlin and on set, Andrew returned to Wisconsin, finished “Mary and Bill,” packed up, and moved to Los Angeles. There, Andrew is currently working on his next film...
